WalletHub looks at best and worst states for property taxes


WASHINGTON - When it comes to property tax, several states in our listening area have some of the highest in the nation.

According to the financial website WalletHub, Missouri has the fourth highest vehicle property tax in the nation, with Kansas ranking ninth. Nebraska ranked 16th and Iowa ranked 23rd.

As for real estate tax, Nebraska has the eighth most expensive real estate tax in the U.S. Iowa is ranked 11th, Kansas is ranked 14th and Missouri is ranked 24th.
